We were engaged by the Lost Tree Village HOA to evaluate and assess the administration building design and efficiency, including operational cost as it relates to the building design and efficiency as well as review the construction cost. The design included a two story atrium and offices designed around a single loaded corridor. The atrium design caused a special mechanical system as well as fire and life safety which ultimately added cost that would not have been there if there was no atrium. Operational cost is also more with this type of design. A design without the atrium and a double loaded corridor would have been more efficient and less costly. We found no issues with the cost of construction, the costs were commensurate with this type of design. The quality of the work was up to industry standards.
