I’ve heard the term due diligence, but what does it really mean in relationship to construction and why is it so important?
- Due diligence is a critical stage in the success of a real estate project, whether it is a commercial venture, a private estate or another type of real estate investment. We conduct research on companies and individuals and gather information regarding issues such as zoning and permitting requirements. Due diligence also involves site visits, surveys and physical conditions assessment, and it in some cases it involves masterplan designation. Through in-depth due diligence we can resolve many issues before they become costly and time-consuming problems.
